PFCC Ambassador-Volunteer Opportunities:
• Advisor on a Patient & Family Centered Care Advisory Councils
(Advise hospital from the patient’s perspective. Composed of patients and family members who have received services at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital within the past year.)
• Pajama Ambassador
(Reviews and edits hospital materials, guides, and data from home.)
• Pediatric Department Ambassador
(Provide non-clinical assistance and comfort to the patients, their families and guests.)
Patient & Family Centered Care Ambassador-Volunteers may volunteer in a variety of ways. The majority of our volunteer opportunities involve working directly with patients and their guests. Due to this reason, a thorough screening process is necessary.
