VISITING HOURS:
Family and friends brighten your day and may help speed your recovery. During your stay, our goal is to provide an environment that promotes healing and reinforces a positive experience for you and your visitors. Our visiting hours have been designed to be flexible, yet allow for maximum rest and recovery time for each patient. Visiting hours vary from one patient care area to another. In some cases, visiting hours may be limited or expanded in accordance with your physician's treatment recommendations.
For most patients, visitors can enter through the main entrance between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. After hours, visitors must enter through the Emergency Department and must check-in with the Public Safety Officer.
CRITICAL CARE UNIT VISITING HOURS:
Open hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Visitors should be limited to immediate family and we discourage visitation by young children; please see the nursing staff for more information.
NICU VISITING HOURS:
Open hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Visitors must meet certain criteria; please see the nursing staff for more information.
TO PROMOTE HEALING AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY, WE HAVE ESTABLISHED THE FOLLOWING VISITOR GUIDELINES:
- Please help maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise. This is especially important when sharing a semi-private room.
- We encourage family visits; however, small children should be held by the hand for their safety. Children must be supervised at all times, and may not be left unattended in the lobby or on the units.
- To protect our patients and staff, adults and children with communicable diseases should not visit.
- Visitors should dress appropriately, including shirts and shoes.
- Food may be brought into the hospital for patient consumption; however, it must be in compliance with the diet order prescribed by the patient's physician. For this reason, please obtain nursing approval prior to bringing any food from home or outside. We ask this in order to prevent any food-drug interactions or possible complications with the patient's treatment.
- Visitors should also check with the nurse before bringing gifts, food or drinks to a patient. In some instances, a patient may not be allowed to have any gifts, food, flowers or plants, especially in the critical care unit.
- Some visitors may have special needs that do not enable them to follow our visiting hours policy. Special needs are considered a priority. Please tell our nursing staff, or unit supervisor of your request and every effort will be made to meet any special needs that may arise.
