Stroke is one of the most common medical emergencies in the United States. The American Stroke Association states that over 700,000 adults suffer strokes each year. While the majority of these strokes are first time occurrences, nearly a third are repeat attacks.
Due to new technologies, treatment advancements, and management capabilities, however, there are about 4.5 million stroke survivors alive today.
The Stroke Center at BMH is dedicated to preventing, diagnosing, and treating strokes. We offer the latest technology and medications, and have advanced, widespread capabilities in order to treat a full spectrum of patient needs.
